ILLEGAL PARROTS FROM BROOKLYN
In 1970, a flock of an invasive species of parrots escaped from the Kennedy Airport in NYC. These birds are controversial from the very beginning, so much that a secret decree is formed in Manhattan to shoot them off. After fierce protests from local residents, the birds find shelter in Brooklyn. Despite the harsh winters they survive and continue to flourish to the present day.
